Mobility 2030: Lake Tahoe Regional Transportation
Plan
The Regional Transportation Plan (RTP) identifies numerous transportation
projects targeted for implementation in the Tahoe Basin
through 2030. Transportation needs in the basin vary from those of pedestrians and bicyclists to those of commuting
motorists and resort visitors. Projects identified in the RTP range from water quality
and traffic flow improvements on major highways to the installation of new bicycle
paths and development of a ferry system on the Lake.
The RTP seeks to improve mobility and safety for the commuting public while at the
same time delivering environmental improvements throughout the transportation network.

The Tahoe Metropolitan Planning Organization approved the Lake Tahoe Regional Transportation
Plan, called "Mobility 2030" on August 27, 2008. The final version with all changes
incorporated is available using the links below.
